Who here hasn't watched a tv program at least once in their life? There are so many different genres it's always hard to pick a favorite. Some of the most popular genres are horror, action, comedy and drama. Drama is quite often a favorite as it can leave you in suspense and shock or it could leave you with a tear streaked face and empty tissue box.

Dramatic programming is tv content that is scripted and is normally fictional. Programs that would not fall under this category would be sports, news, reality tv or game shows. Most tv programs which fall under dramatic programming would usually be shows which fall under a miniseries or made-for-TV movies categories.

Another category of drama, would be a dramedy which is a comedy-drama or serial comedy. Dramedy is a style of entertainment via television, theatre and film where there is balance of humor and serious content. Some popular movies which fall under this category are Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks and Terms of Endearment starring Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito.
